 Week 1
Arrival Part I (Both Ks - July 4)
הגעה חלק א - כל הקבוצות, 4 יולי Welcome to Israel! The Kehillah 2011 participants arrived bright and early in the morning at Ben Gurion Airport, and traveled to Park Canada, where they enjoyed morning prayer and alternative options, icebreakers & fun introductory games, and a welcome by Charles Herman, Executive Director, and members of Nesiya's senior staff. 
Arrival Part II (Both Ks, July 4)
הגעה חלק ב - כל הקבוצות, 4 יולי More images from the first morning of Kehillah 2011 at Park Canada, including a yummy buffet brunch of quiches, pasta, and fresh fruits and veggies, before the groups headed down to the beautiful Har Hanegev Field School on the edge of the Ramon Crater. More soon! 
Arrival Part III (Both Ks, July 4)
הגעה חלק ג - כל הקבוצות, 4 יולי Group images from the first day of the program: morning yoga option, egalitarian prayer service, icebreakers, welcome to the program by Charles Herman, and the tranquil backdrop of Park Canada. 
K1 Intro to Negev (July 4-5)
קהילה 1 פתיחה לנגב - 4-5 יולי Images of K1 from their first two days in the Negev desert, including an introductory activity overlooking the crater just as they got off the bus, studying the "Lech Lecha" text about Abraham's journey from his birthplace and his father's home, and participants mapping their own personal journeys using masking tape. 
K1 Noded (July 5-7)
קהילה 1 "נודד" - 5-7 יולי Journeying into the Ramon Crater; sleeping under the stars; sunrise hike up Mt. Ardon; morning prayers and exercises; studying about Manna from heaven; yummy meals and lots and lots of water. 
K1 More Noded (July 6-7)
"עוד מהיום השני ושלילי - קהילה 1 "נודד Sunrise hike on Wednesday morning. Relaxing in a tent during the heat of the day, "leader and follower" activity, and more! 
K2 Noded Days 1-2 (July 5-6)
קהילה 2 "נודד" היום הראשון והיום השני - 5-6 יולי Images from K2's hike into Nahal Tzin, below Sde Boker - hiking into the desert, studying Jewish desert texts, a spirited campfire with joyous singing and guitar playing, Wednesday morning's pre-sunrise hike, and lunch in the desert. 
K2 Noded Day 3 (July 7)
קהילה 2 "נודד" היום השלישי - 7 יולי K2 completed their hike through Nahal Tzin on Thursday morning, and left behind the sweat, sand and heat of the desert wilderness for an air-conditioned bus and ice cold popsicles. Also includes images of K2's return to their home base this first week of the Kehillah Experience, Har Hanegev Field School. 
K2 More Noded (July 5 -7)
קהילה 2 "נודד" - עוד מהטיול More images from K2's incredible three day hike through Nahal Tzin, but from the camera and perspective of one of the K2 participants! 
Visit to Mitzpe (Both Ks -July 7)
(ביקור במצפה (כל הקהילות - 7 יולי Both Kehillah groups stroll around the small town of Mitzpe, meet local residents, and have a chance to buy their own falafel or pizza for dinner! 
Black Hebrews Concert (Both Ks - July 7)
קונצרט של הכושים העבריים - כל הקהילות - 7 יולי On Thursday evening, after a visit to Mitzpe Ramon, both Kehillah groups returned to Har Hanegev for a lively and energetic concert by two members of the Black Hebrews choir, who also shared a bit about themselves and their personal stories. Participants had a spectacular time singing and dancing along with the performers. 
Shabbat in the Negev (Both Ks - July 8)
שבת בנגב - כל הקהילות Images from Erev Shabbat - Friday afternoon - at Har Hanegev Field School. Gone is the dirt and sweat of the week, and participants are showered and dressed up for their first Shabbat together as a Nesiya community.
